'It Begins With Us' original painting by Shelley Freese

With refugees in mind, Miles City, Montana artist Shelley Freese painted ‘It Begins With Us’ in watercolor and pen and ink.  She started with a peace sign and imagined the slanted lines as the slopes of a mountain we are all climbing. At the summit helpers are  extending hands to those in need.  It is, simply, a beautiful way to see a peace sign.  May we all have the courage to be helpers.
